The Ford Family Foundation
The Ford Family Foundation was established in 1957 by Kenneth W. and Hallie E. Ford, “to give back to the community.” The Foundation endeavors to help individuals through organized learning opportunities to be contributing and successful citizens, and to enhance the vitality of rural communities.
AmeriCorps
ASPIRE AmeriCorps members volunteer for one school year to assist in the implementation of ASPIRE at a specific high school. Members receive a living allowance and education award.
Oregon GEAR UP Network
ASPIRE is a partner at 12 of the 16 school clusters (and growing). The GEAR UP goal is to ensure that Oregon's low-income middle and high school students are prepared for, pursue and succeed in postsecondary education.
Oregon Department of Human Services
DHS is working in partnership with ASPIRE to encourage and empower foster youth to gain the knowledge and skills to become self-sufficient, responsible and contributing members of their community.
The Oregon Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (OASFAA) is the professional organization for student financial aid administrators in Oregon. OSAC was a key player in the formation of OASFAA and has supported the OASFAA mission since the beginning. If you work in student financial aid in Oregon, please join and support OASFAA.
Educational Credit Management Corporation (ECMC), a nonprofit member of ECMC Group, is a national guaranty agency that insures loans under the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP). As the guaranty agency designated to serve the state of Oregon, ECMC is committed to supporting access to postsecondary education for all Oregon students and their families. The Oregon CommunityFoundation (OCF)
The Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) and the Oregon Student Assistance Commission (OSAC) have been partners in the awarding and disbursing of scholarships for more than 20 years.
The Oregon Community Foundation is a statewide nonprofit organization that administers permanent charitable funds established through gifts and bequests from individuals, families, businesses, and other organizations. OCF currently manages more than 1,100 permanent funds with assets of over $550 million. OCF makes grants or other distributions from these funds to qualified charitable, educational, and cultural organizations, primarily in the state of Oregon.
The relationship between OCF and OSAC has resulted in easier access to scholarship aid for students, efficient processing and tracking of scholarship awards, and OSAC scholarship resources that continue to grow through OCF’s strong investment program.
National College Access Network (NCAN) is a national support network dedicated to assisting local communities all over the USA initiate, develop and sustain their own college access programs. ASPIRE is a member of NCAN.
National Association of State Student Grant & Aid Programs (NASSGAP) is a professional organization dedicated to promote, strengthen, encourage and enhance high standards of performance in administration and operation of government-sponsored postsecondary student financial aid and grant programs. They also work to develop simplified student financial aid procedures and publish information regarding financial aid policies.
National Scholarship Providers Association (NSPA) is the only national organization that brings together professionals to improve student access to higher education. NSPA’s programs and services are designed to maximize the amount and facilitate the delivery of scholarship dollars to college-bound students. They also support the needs of professionals who work in the area of college scholarships. |
